Trainee Cabin Services Officer (Training)

Job Description

Cabin Handling handles the logistics and delivery of inflight meals for flights. Purpose-built Direct Upper Deck Catering (DUDC) hi-lifts and our service in delivering meals, drystores, equipment & removing waste from aircraft cabin, are all testimony to our efforts to provide clients the safest, cleanest and most efficient ways to manage airline equipment and resources.
The individual will provide on-the-job training/guidance to newly hired employees as well as enhanced knowledge transfer to current employees to keep everyone up-to-date on changes in the industry that affect job requirements.
•Conducts training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, work flow, and reports; understanding job-specific functions and tasks.
•Conducts training classes by presenting job-specific, company-specific, and regulatory requirements.
•Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
•Evaluate and enhances the effectiveness of training program
•Ensures that all training materials and programs are compliant with laws and regulations governing the industry
•Prepares hard copy training materials and presentations for employees and with the approval of management
•Creates monitoring strategies to ensure that employees are performing job duties according to training.
•Ensure to record and file all new staff pre-solo assessment forms before deployment to Operations
•Ensure to update and conduct read and sign for any safety flashes and any changes to operational/SOP/Ops manual.
•Ensure to schedule staff for in-house refresher course and update in records of training.
•Conduct re-training and provide recommendation of re-training results.
•Conducts investigations for vehicular, aircraft accidents and flight delays and provides investigation assessment and recommendations for improvement.
•Monitors the ADP license expiry and ensure staff sign up for renewal.
•Conduct cross-training to other BU/sections as and when required.
•Conduct ramp audit, ramp checks and submit observation records.
•During airline audits, to assist/supervise and monitor compliance based on airline requirements and prepare the required docs as well as corrective actions for audit finding.
•Any other jobs assigned by Training Team and Section Head.

Job Requirements

•Possess a valid Singapore state license of Class 5
•Possess Train-the-Trainer certification
•Demonstrate ability to work in a multicultural, multi ethnic environment and maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds
•Good facilitation skills to conduct training sessions
•Solid analytical and problem solving
•Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes and procedures and adapt local practices to industry standards
•Ability to work on teams, work at detailed level and understand the larger picture
•Good oral and written communication skills
