Public Area Attendant

Job Description

•Carry out cleaning of windows, walls, glass panels and all furniture and fittings in the public areas and offices.
•Shampoo and vacuum carpets and furniture in the public areas / offices.
•Maintain the cleanliness of the washrooms in the public and service areas and replenish any items in the washrooms.
•Assist with the clearing of trash and rubbish bins in the public area and offices.
•Maintain the cleanliness and shine of the floor in the Hotel lobby, lifts and other public areas.
•Report any maintenance deficiencies to the Housekeeping Supervisors / Managers.
•Check that all equipment used are well-maintained and in proper working condition.
•Report any lost and found items left in public areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor in accordance to the standard operating procedures.
•Report any health and safety matters in the department to the Housekeeping Supervisors. Any incidents are to be reported immediately.
•Understand all Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation procedures.
•Keep buckets, chemicals and cleaning items in the proper storage room at the end of the shift.
•Report any unusual or suspicious activities at your section immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisors / Managers.
•Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisors / Managers from time to time

Job Requirements

•At least Primary education
•1 year of cleaning experience (preferably in hotel industry) will be advantageous
•Able to work rotating shift, weekend and public holiday
•Independent yet team player
•Meticulous, eye for details
•Able to stand for long hours
•Ability to multi-task
•Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
