Building Technician

Job Description

Carry out routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of building facilities and equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and air-conditioning systems.
Troubleshoot and rectify technical faults and building defects.
Attend promptly to maintenance requests, complaints, and emergency breakdowns.
Monitor building systems such as lighting, fire protection systems, lifts, pumps, and HVAC systems.
Coordinate and supervise contractors during servicing and repair works.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and statutory requirements.
Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, service reports, and inspections.
Support building operations and ensure facilities are maintained in optimal condition.
Conduct regular checks to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of the premises.

Job Requirements

NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Facilities Management, or related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in building maintenance or facilities management preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, and plumbing systems.
Able to read and understand technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and respond to emergencies when required.
Willing to perform hands-on maintenance work.
Possession of relevant certifications will be an advantage.
Working location: Woodlands
8.00am - 5.00pm (Alternate Saturday)
